Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating bindery, finishing, printing, mailing, or manufacturing equipment.
• Experience operating and setting up production equipment, such as folders, stitchers, cutters, collators, drills, or binding equipment preferred.
• Experience leading or coordinating production activities.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Location: Elgin, IL

Shift: (Day Shift) 5AM to 5PM OR (Night Shift) 5PM to 5AM

Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

Pay: $24.00+ per hour

Summary of Job

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Operations Manager, the Operator II - Bindery is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bindery and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed products while meeting customer specifications, production schedules, and company performance standards. This position plays a key role in the finishing process, transforming printed materials into completed products such as books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and mail pieces.
