JBS Foods is seeking a Beef Modernization Sorter to contribute to high-precision knife work and sanitary quality decisions on the production floor. You will operate in a fast-paced setting, uphold food safety standards, and participate in ongoing training to educate teammates.

The role emphasizes observational accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to meeting quality and safety expectations in a beef processing environment.

Qualifications

• Harvest floor knife experience.
• Ability to sharpen a knife and maintain a sharp edge.
• Willingness to learn anatomy, physiology and disease processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail oriented and disciplined.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull product repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision knife cuts with observational accuracy.
• Make correct decisions related to pathology, presentation or sanitary dressing deficiencies.
• Work in a high-paced environment with emphasis on Food Safety and Quality.
• Train and educate others as needed.
• Collaborate with harvest floor departments and USDA-FSIS inspectors.
