Zina's Fine Foods in South Plainfield, NJ, is hiring Food Production Batch Maker / Mixer for two full-time roles with immediate start. First shift is $22/hour; second shift $24/hour.

You will follow daily production schedules, verify ingredients, weigh accurately, operate mixers, and ensure every batch is correct before packaging. Ideal candidates read recipes, have at least two years in food production, stay detailed, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Two+ years experience in food production or related settings.
• Able to read and follow recipes and batch sheets.
• Comfortable with weights, measures and basic arithmetic.
• Attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies.
• Able to stand majority of shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Spanish or English; bilingual is a plus.
• Food handling or safety certification preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Work from daily production schedule and batch sheets.
• Gather and verify all ingredients called for in the recipe.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately on scales.
• Follow recipe order and mixing time precisely.
• Operate mixers and related equipment safely.
• Monitor appearance, consistency, temperature and yield.
• Record batch data and communicate any deviations.
• Move finished batches to packaging and liaise with packaging.
• Follow allergen controls and prevent cross-contact.
• Keep scales, utensils and work area clean.
• Follow GMP, sanitation, food safety and safety rules.
