Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in setup and operation of band saws preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• Operate equipment safely, accurately and efficiently.
• Work cooperatively with team members.
• Accurate use of tape measures, scales and calipers.
• Demonstrate basic industrial math skills.

Responsibilities

• Store, handle, cut, and ship metal to meet shop and internal customer requirements.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving of materials per work order.
• Complete paperwork associated with inventory.
• Load/unload machines with the aid of an overhead crane.
• Set up and operate a saw, selecting feeds, speeds, tension, and clear jams.
• Adjust saw blades, inspect and measure work pieces to mark for cuts.
• Verify accuracy of cuts using squares, calipers, tape measures and protractors.
• Examine blueprints, drawings, work orders to determine setup details and dimensions.
• Knowledge and proper use of saw fixtures with assistance.
