Job summary

Tronair, an Ohio-based manufacturing firm, is seeking a saw operator to set up and run industrial band saws in a high-mix, low-volume shop. You will read blueprints, measure and adjust cuts, and verify accuracy using calipers and squares.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with an overhead crane, handling materials per work orders, and completing related paperwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prefer prior band saw experience, with ability to stand for long periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in setup/operation of band saws preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints.
• Operate equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw, adjust feeds and speeds, and clear jams.
• Load, cut, and verify parts; measure with calipers and squares.
• Handle material shipping/receiving per work orders and complete paperwork.
• Work with overhead crane to load/unload machines and materials.
• Ensure accuracy of cuts by comparing to drawings and dimensions.
• Follow safety procedures and operate in a fast-paced environment.
