Job summary

IDEX is hiring for a Balancing Machinist on the 2nd shift to oversee balancing of rotating components such as rotors, impellers, and magnets. You will operate balancing equipment, analyze readings, and adjust to achieve balanced, vibration-free parts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of balancing machinery experience. 2nd shift offers a 5% differential; benefits include health, 401(k), PTO, and more. Training may occur on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong basic math skills (add/sub/mult/div, fractions, decimals).
• 1–2 years’ experience operating manual and/or balancing machinery and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Balance parts to meet production goals (cycle time, quantity, quality).
• Set up and operate balancing machines with proper fixtures and speeds.
• Verify settings by measuring positions and test pieces.
• Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tools, and accessories safely.
