Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Chicopee, MA, is seeking an Automatic Assembly, Set Up & Operate team member to set up and operate the line for automotive timing chain components, perform changeovers, and adjust equipment to meet standards and schedules.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and detailed recordkeeping to ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience running multiple machines and performing preventive maintenance.
• Safety-first mindset and strong focus on quality.
• Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use material handling devices and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection before shift; apply oil/grease to specified areas; verify detectors operability.
• Oil changes and basic PM on machines; aim for accuracy as per standards.
• Troubleshoot chain assembly equipment; interpret alarm messages and correct issues.
• Operate line equipment: roller link assembly, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, inspection, and packing.
• Maintain production schedules, quality records, and traceability for each charge.
• Record downtime and other data using the machine-monitoring system.
