Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Auto Body Technician who will repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble and reassemble parts, and uphold our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You will read job orders, use body shop tools, and collaborate with teammates to meet KPIs. A high school diploma or technical training and hands-on experience are valued. Compensation includes an hourly wage with potential bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program or apprenticeship.
• Experience with auto body repair tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers dents, fills with resin, and repairs minor body damage.
• Realigns car chassis and frames for structural repair.
• Removes damaged sections and installs new or aftermarket parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass and windshields as needed.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaints to spec.
• Attempts to complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
