Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking a production team member to assemble subassemblies and final units, read blueprints, and follow safety and quality procedures. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to meeting daily production targets.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, basic math, and the ability to read and communicate in English. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, and knowledge of gear assembly is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic math skills needed for measurements and calculations.
• Physical dexterity for handling parts and tools.
• Gear assembly knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate English.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a variety of subassemblies and complete units of varying weights and sizes.
• Fit and align components to close tolerances using hand and power tools.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, strength, and fluid/pressure tests and adjust as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools and read blueprints effectively.
• Monitor equipment and efficiency to meet production targets.
• Read and measure dimensions on blueprints and follow sketches and instructions.
• Meet production targets during shift.
• Move material and completed products using mobile equipment.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Understand and follow safety, environmental, and PPE procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform related duties as assigned.
