South Bay Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician for day shift to join a high-precision shop serving semiconductor, medical devices, and tech hardware sectors. You will assemble parts per documented procedures and inspect finished assemblies to ensure strict quality standards.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Requirements include 1–2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting, ability to read simple blueprints, and proficiency with calipers and height

Qualifications

• Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and assembly documentation.
• Proficiency with calipers, height gauges, hand tools, and other common assembly tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components according to manufacturing documentation and procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly operations, including installing Helicoils and dowel pins.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure tolerances and quality requirements are met.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Maintain assembly equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Document job traveler information accurately throughout assembly.
• Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
