Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a capable assembler to join our manufacturing team in Amesbury, MA. You will read blueprints, lay out and assemble complex components, and ensure precise tolerances while maintaining ISO-9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent; forklift license preferred or obtainable.
• Experience with blueprint reading and tolerances.
• Familiarity with lean concepts and ISO-9001 quality standards.
• Ability to obtain forklift license and learn overhead crane operation.
• Willingness to work long hours, overtime and weekends as required.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and maintain safety.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble structural and mechanical components safely to produce quality products meeting specs.
• Lay out and construct assemblies per blueprints using appropriate tools.
• Read assembly specs, BOMs, and drawings; identify discrepancies.
• Break down drawings and plan fabrication steps; assemble parts per prints.
• Ensure mechanisms function free from binding or interference; diagnose issues.
• Maintain ISO-9001 standards; follow safety and environmental rules.
• Participate in Lean initiatives and contribute improvement ideas.
• Work in other plant areas as required.
