Job summary

Power Solutions International (PSI) in Itasca, IL is hiring for an Assembly Team Member on 1st shift. You will assemble engine components and subassemblies per engineering drawings, using hand tools and electronic tooling, while maintaining Lean and ISO9001 standards.

Safety, quality, and timely production are essential to meet schedule goals. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and read, comprehend diagrams.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive assembly or high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install engine components and mechanical assemblies from blueprints and work instructions.
• Verify quality using quality checklists and report defects per standard processes.
• Use micrometers/calipers to measure critical dimensions and observe assembly movement.
• Lift/carry up to 40 pounds as needed and perform team lifts for heavier items.
• Adhere to safety procedures and operate tools and machinery per instructions.
