Job summary

Power Solutions International in Itasca, IL is seeking an Assembly Team Member for the 1st shift (5:30am–4:00pm, Mon–Thu). You will assemble engine components and verify quality per drawings and procedures, using micrometers and hand tools while adhering to Lean practices and safety rules. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic math, and mechanical aptitude.

Prior experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing is a plus. OT opportunities exist beyond the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and to read, comprehend, and convert instruction manuals/diagrams into work.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive assembly or other high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install engine components, mechanical assemblies, or subassemblies per blueprints and work instructions.
• Verify product quality using quality checklists and report defects.
• Measure critical dimensions with micrometers/calipers and observe movement of assemblies to detect deficiencies.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and participate in team lifts for heavier items.
• Follow safety procedures and operate tools and machines per instructions.
