Job summary

The York Group, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Operator to assemble products using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners to meet production standards and schedules.

You will operate equipment safely, review on-site work instructions, monitor quality points, report issues to the Supervisor, cross-train across stations, and perform operator-level preventive maintenance. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), 3+ years of assembly experience, basic MS Office skills,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of assembly experience or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management and planning skills.
• Good written and verbal communication and basic mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble product, parts or materials using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, adhesives and fasteners to standards.
• Operate assigned equipment or tools safely per safety programs and rules.
• Follow approved procedures and on-site work instructions; review on site for operators.
• Monitor Quality Points at the workstation and record required data; report concerns to Supervisor.
• Cross-train on all work stations within department.
• Conduct operator level preventative maintenance on tools, jigs and fixtures per schedule.
• Keep work environment neat and clean.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Overtime may be required.
