Job summary

Qualitrol in Fairport, NY is seeking an Assembly Operator to set up and operate a variety of assembly equipment, participate in continuous improvement, and ensure products are packed safely for shipment. The role requires reading MSDS sheets and standard work instructions, with at least one year of lean manufacturing experience.

The position runs on a 7:00am–3:30pm shift, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe work area and contributing to quality standards across production cells.

Qualifications

• Must have proficient English reading and writing skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an assembly or lean manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment to read measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly equipment (small hydraulic presses, staking, drill presses, welding machines, air drivers, spin riveters, winders).
• Rotate in other work cells as instructed by Supervisor or Cell Leader.
• Pack finished product for shipment.
• Maintain work area to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Participate in cell improvements.
