Job summary

TE Connectivity in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a skilled technician to join the Technical Production Team. You will set up, run, maintain and repair high-precision automated and semi-automated assembly equipment and tooling, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities spanning maintenance, tooling transport, process improvements, and providing hands-on engineering support to minimize downtime and sustain production

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to set up semi-automated assembly equipment to meet close tolerance subassemblies.
Min 2 yrs. related experience.
Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
Experience with mechanical inspection/geometric tolerancing.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Value Stream Manager to establish production goals and requirements.
Set up and operate automated and semi-automated assembly equipment to support close-tolerance production.
Perform precision machining and basic tool-making activities to support production needs.
Transport, position, and install tooling, equipment, stations, and production supplies as required.
Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair assembly equipment, stations, fixtures, and tooling.
Keep production equipment and tools in safe, reliable, and proper working condition.
