Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Jonesboro, AR is seeking an assembler to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies, reading schematics and blueprints, and verifying specifications. The role requires standing for long periods and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain a clean work area, follow safety rules, and may work overtime, including Saturdays, to meet production goals. Prior experience in manual assembly is a plus, and accurate records must be kept.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fast paced and detail oriented.
• Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays) as required.
• Stand and walk continuously for 8-10 hours, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies by templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
• Report unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
• Obey all safety rules and regulations.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Maintain records as required.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
