Job summary

Flowserve seeks a Precision Assembler to prepare and assemble equipment, following drawings and work orders, and to perform test requirements. The role includes disassembly for repair, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly with access to modern materials and tools to ensure high-quality products.

Responsibilities include using micrometers, vernier, CMM, torque wrenches, reading blueprints, writing routine reports, and maintaining safety standards. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of automation control and electrical components preferred.
  • Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines or general mechanical work.
  • General certificate of education or vocational training is a plus.
  • Safety-conscious with ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of inspection equipment to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and assemblies follow procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Operate precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier, CMM) in a warehouse environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly and communicate results clearly.
  • Capable of basic math for rates, ratios, and unit conversions.
  • Participate in CIP activities and adhere to Flowserve policies.
