Job summary

igus Inc. in Rumford, RI is seeking personnel to read packing lists and assembly drawings, assemble and package orders, and operate automated assembly machines. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities include following instructions, inspecting connections for proper fit, and training coworkers as needed. Overtime and weekend availability may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Follow directions carefully to complete the orders correctly.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly instructions, processes and procedures by reviewing assembly instructions, drawings and parts lists.
• Assembles orders by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Operate automated assembly machines, including hand-feeding of links, to complete production tasks
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Team Leader
• Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager
