Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift in Chambersburg, PA. You will assemble parts and subassemblies for JLG/Jerr-Dan products, using power tools and manual techniques, while following detailed work instructions. Candidates should have basic assembly skills and be able to lift up to 35 lbs solo.

You may operate overhead cranes, use various hand and pneumatic tools, and collaborate across multiple assembly areas to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs.
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
