Job summary

King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking a Roll Operator to operate self-propelled and pull-type rollers for asphalt compaction, ensuring densities meet specifications. This role involves daily fluid checks, monitoring gauges, and supporting the crew on site.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with preparation work, and adhere to safety policies while keeping equipment in good working order. Compensation is commensurate with experience and site conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate self-propelled and pull-type rollers and read gauges/levers.
• 3+ months to 12 months of roller operation experience.
• Willingness to work in disagreeable conditions (dirt, heat, fumes, noises).

Responsibilities

• Operate roller to compact asphalt and achieve densities.
• Assist with asphalt laying, dumping trucks and site prep tasks.
• Perform routine checks, lubrication, fueling, and minor adjustments.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and follow safety rules.
• Report any safety or equipment issues to supervisor.
