Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking an Annealing Machine Operator to support daily production goals in a metals manufacturing environment. You will perform machine setup, monitor quality, and troubleshoot equipment as required to meet production targets.

Responsibilities include coil handling, setting up the annealing line based on process sheets, inspecting materials, reading orders and blueprints, and data entry into SAP.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in metals industry preferred.
• Experience with micrometers and precision measurement tools.
• Annealing machine operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Annealing Machine Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coils to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices.
• Set up the designated Annealing machine by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication.
• Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reshape products and eliminate product defects.
• Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Control and observe dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Scheduling & Maintenance departments regarding production issues
• Perform data entry into the SAP software system
