MNP Corporation is seeking an Annealing Furnace Operator in Michigan to manage the Annealing Furnace, ensure safe operation, monitor temperatures, and control cooling rates. You will work with a small team and must be self-motivated and dependable.
Responsibilities include coil ID verification, tag accuracy, positioning spiders and thermocouples, pressure checks, and sampling. Training occurs before the 12-hour PM swing shift on a rotating weekly schedule.
Training will occur on dayshift then move to the schedule shown below. This position is a 12 hour PM Swing shift on a weekly rotation including a shift premium. 5PM - 5AM, 12 hours shifts; rotates between Week 1 and Week 2.

The Annealing Furnace Operator is responsible for operation of the Annealing Furnace, which is used to increase ductility and reduce the hardness of raw coiled steel. This key role must ensure safe operation of the equipment and temperature instruments. Operators are to ensure the steel reaches it's required temperature and cooled afterwards at the correct rate for the appropriate length of time. The Operator works with a small team and must be self-motivated and dependable.

Salary: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
