Job summary

EarthScout LLC is seeking a Precision Ag Sales and Marketing Agronomist in the United States to blend agronomic expertise with sales, marketing and customer engagement for product adoption and revenue growth. You will own the full sales process from prospecting to close, serving growers, distributors, irrigation professionals, retailers and agricultural groups.

Lead e-commerce and digital sales to forecast pipeline and growth.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in commercial operations, sales operations, or business strategy roles, startup or small business experience preferred.
  • Experience using a CRM or other sales technology required.
  • Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and irrigation management required.
  • Experience owning and optimizing commercial sales processes required.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or similar systems is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate technical products and information clearly.
  • Professional presence at meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer visits, field evaluations and product demonstrations with technical presentations.
  • Understand customer agronomic challenges and recommend products and solutions for irrigation management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers, distributors and stakeholders; visit customers and dealers regularly.
  • Lead e-commerce and digital sales to support forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Utilize CRM and project management tools to track interactions and opportunities.

Job description

The Precision Ag Sales and Marketing Agronomist with EarthScout LLC, combines technical agronomic expertise with sales, marketing and customer engagement to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and market development. This role serves as a key technical resource for customers, distributors, and the sales team, translating agronomic science and field data into practical solutions and compelling commercial opportunities.

This role is also responsible for owning the full sales process, from prospecting through close, and services as a primary contact for growers, crop consultants, irrigation professionals, retailers, and agricultural organizations seeking to improve water management decisions through EarthScout technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Leadership and Marketing to refine and execute the market strategy across sales, marketing and customer experience.

Assist with the development of educational materials and coordinate field trials and product demonstrations.

Collect, analyze and communicate field data and customer feedback that inform decision-making, future product development and sales/marketing initiatives.

Monitor agricultural trends, technologies, regulations, competitive products, customer needs, and best practices. Look for opportunities for market expansion.

Partner with the sales team to develop and convert new business opportunities.

Conduct customer visits, field evaluations and product demonstrations, as well as technical presentations.

Understand customer agronomic challenges and recommend appropriate products, programs and solutions for optimal irrigation management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and other key stakeholders. This includes regular customer, prospect and dealer visits.

Lead e-commerce and digital sales to support sales forecasting and pipeline management.

Utilize the CRM and project management tools to track customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, streamline communications, and enhance client relationship management.

Sales & Business Development

Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, trade shows and industry events.

Manage complete sales process from lead generation through closing.

Develop and execute territory sales plan aligned with company growth objectives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Physical Requirements
  • Must posses valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed within the assigned territory and for customer visits, field demonstrations, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Ability to navigate on uneven terrains (fields, farm sites) in varying weather conditions to conduct product demonstrations and installations.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs frequently and on occasion 50lbs.
