Equiliem is seeking a Tooling Welder III for aerospace manufacturing in Palmdale, CA. The role entails precision welding, metal fabrication, and tooling assembly, primarily welding aluminum and steel components.

You will interpret engineering drawings, fabricate tooling and fixtures, and ensure dimensional accuracy and quality per procedures. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on welding experience, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to work independently within

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years welding experience.
• Experience with MIG/TIG or stick welding; at least one process.
• Experience welding aluminum and steel components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Hands-on experience with material fit-up, fabrication, joint preparation, welding, and finishing.
• Familiarity with dimensional tolerances, weld inspection, and quality requirements.
• Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and material handling.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on aluminum and steel components and assemblies.
• Fabricate, fit, assemble, and weld tooling components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Prepare materials and joints for welding, including layout, fit-up, joint preparation, and finishing.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
• Identify welding defects and perform corrective work as needed.
• Set up and safely operate welding equipment and metal fabrication tools.
• Maintain required workmanship standards and follow safety and quality procedures.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet manufacturing schedules and production requirements.
