Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for an Assembler in Burnsville, MN. The role focuses on bench assembly of circuit boards on SMT lines and light mechanical assembly of fixtures, mostly while seated in a climate-controlled electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include final board assembly, soldering, reading schematics, and ensuring quality. Shifts available: 1st and 2nd, with contract-to-hire potential, onsite work in Burnsville.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of electronic assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with circuit boards and electronic components.
• Ability to perform basic soldering with attention to quality.
• Familiarity with reading basic schematics or assembly drawings.
• Experience with mechanical assembly using small tools and screwdrivers.
• Comfort using microscopes for detailed assembly work.
• Awareness of IPC standards related to electronic assembly.
• Ability to work seated for extended periods and follow standard work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assembly of circuit boards on SMT lines according to procedures and quality standards.
• Complete light mechanical assembly of fixtures with small tools and screwdrivers.
• Handle electronic components to prevent damage and ensure reliability.
• Read and follow assembly instructions and documentation.
• Use microscopes or magnification tools to inspect components.
• Apply soldering techniques to assemble or rework boards per IPC guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workbench and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily output and quality targets.
• Report issues with components, tools, or equipment to support improvements.
