Job summary

Banner Engineering seeks an assembler to build electronic systems on first shift at the Plymouth, MN facility. You will assemble subassemblies, solder PC boards, and perform testing, labeling, and packaging according to SOPs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and ability to read English. You will handle hand tools, a microscope inspection, and light lifting up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges, and testers.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day to perform hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs.
• Uses microscope for precision work and to perform inspections.
• Perform simple hand grasp and dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, hold tools, etc.
• Ability to move, carry, or lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and final product following SOPs.
• Wire and solder PC boards and units.
• Test, label, package and deliver to stockroom.
• Adjust, repair or replace electronic parts to meet specs.
• Read drawings and work orders for materials and assembly instructions.
• Position and align work pieces for wiring and assembly.
• Maintain production and waste reports.
• Collaborate with supervisors/engineers on production issues.
• Explain assembly procedures to other workers.
