Job summary

BE&K Building Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Mechanical Estimator to prepare bids for commercial projects onsite. You will analyze blueprints, determine material and labor costs, and work with PMs and clients to define project scope.

Ideal candidates have a related bachelor's degree and experience in commercial estimating, with strong Excel and estimation software skills to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as Mechanical Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
• Proficient in using estimation software and tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine mechanical requirements of projects.
• Estimate cost of materials, labor, and equipment for mechanical installations.
• Prepare and submit detailed and accurate project bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define scope and requirements.
• Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market prices.
