Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions in Chestertown, MD seeks a Structural Engineer (PE) to design and deliver precast concrete structures for infrastructure projects. You will analyze reinforced and precast components, prepare calculations, and coordinate shop drawings while supporting estimators and project teams.

The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree and strong AutoCAD/Microsoft Office skills; PE licensure is preferred, with EITs encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license preferred; EIT candidates encouraged to apply.
• Ability to obtain Maryland PE licensure via reciprocity.
• Experience with reinforced concrete design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in both office and plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze reinforced and precast concrete structures.
• Prepare and stamp engineering calculations and submittals (if licensed).
• Coordinate shop drawings and production documents.
• Support pre-bid design and estimating efforts.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and project teams.
• Optimize designs for efficiency and manufacturability.
• Review work from external engineering consultants.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Apply ACI, PCI, and ASTM standards.
• Support product development and innovation.
• Assist with custom formwork design.
• Participate in technical presentations.
• Contribute to quality control troubleshooting.
• Mentor EITs and junior engineers.
