Job summary

Knight’s Companies in Summerville, SC is hiring a Precast Production Associate to manufacture high-quality precast concrete structures. You will read designs, construct forms with tight tolerances, and pour concrete to meet specifications on a safety-focused production floor.

Gain hands-on experience in form building, rebar placement, tool selection, and teamwork. Applicants should have at least one year in construction, be able to lift 100 lbs, and be willing to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
• Working knowledge of construction math.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
• Follow directions from supervisors and ask questions when needed.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret design plans and specifications to create forms for precast concrete structures.
• Construct forms with close tolerances using appropriate materials and tools.
• Safely operate hand tools such as hammers and measuring tapes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on the production floor.
• Identify and communicate needs for tools, hardware, lumber, and materials.
• Follow all safety protocols and use PPE appropriately.
• Assemble forms, cut and tie rebar, and place castings into forms.
• Pour concrete into forms and finish to meet quality standards.
