Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspect machinery, and troubleshoot issues across plant facilities.

You will support preventive maintenance programs, read schematics, and document service logs while collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.

High School diploma or GED required; 1–3 years of experience preferred; OSHA safety standards and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, maintenance tracking, and reporting.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assist in installation, setup, and calibration of new or repaired equipment.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including service logs and parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
