Precast Design Engineer – Civil/Structural

Join Fisher Associates as a Precast Design Engineer and innovate concrete design on diverse civil and structural projects. We seek a skilled engineer to lead precast engineering tasks and support projects across our nationwide network.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
• Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
• Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
• Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
• Support cost estimation for materials.
• Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
• Guide and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–10 years minimum precast concrete design engineering experience.
• Experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures (utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures, and pump stations) preferred.
• Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE‑7, AASHTO; familiarity with IBC codes a plus.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D.
