Job summary

Olympia Orthopaedics is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Pre-Surgical Screening in Centralia, WA. You will triage patients, clear surgical candidates with anesthesia, and coordinate evaluations with physicians.

The role is full-time with in-person training in Centralia/Olympia, after which remote work is possible from WA. Must reside in WA and have an active WA LPN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited state Board of Nursing program.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Washington.
• At least one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification, or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Must be a resident of Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients to identify high-risk conditions.
• Clear patients for surgery by ensuring anesthesia requirements are met.
• Perform phone evaluations, confer with physicians, and schedule in-person anesthesia evaluations.

Location: Remote after training. Training will take place in-person at either our Centralia or Olympia, WA surgery centers.

MUST STILL BE A RESIDENT OF WA STATE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.92 - $42.96

(Pay is determined based on years of experience)

Licensed Practical Nurse Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in our Pre-Surgical Screening department, you will be responsible for triaging patients to ensure prompt identification of those with high-risk conditions. You will also play a vital role in clearing patients for surgery by ensuring they meet the requirements established by anesthesia. This will involve performing phone evaluations, conferring with physicians, and scheduling in-person anesthesia evaluations when needed.

This is a work from home role; however, employees are required to be a resident of Washington State and must complete a 4-6-week training period in Olympia, WA.

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited state Board of Nursing program.


• Current Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Washington.


• At least one year of clinical nursing experience.


• Current Basic Life Support Certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
