Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) in Austin, TX seeks a Pre-Silicon Emulation Engineer to drive validation of silicon designs and implement Shift Left technologies.

You will enable new SOC and enterprise emulation, improve pre-silicon IP, and plan validation coverage across complex boot flows and peripherals in SOC designs. You will collaborate with product leads and senior engineers to define strategies, drive new capabilities, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality silicon solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of semiconductor development with emulation and shift-left technologies
• Hands-on experience validating low-power states like S0i3 in pre-silicon emulation
• Knowledge of computer system architecture and microprocessor development
• Proven track record in product verification, emulation, and post-silicon validation
• Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and customers

Responsabilités

• Improve product time-to-market and hardware/firmware/software quality
• Utilize pre-silicon tools (emulation, FPGA, models) for validation
• Debug and resolve high-priority issues on critical projects
• Advance shift-left capabilities for new products with customers
• Define metrics to track validation improvements
• Collaborate across AMD business units to share learnings
• Coordinate with product leads for evaluation efforts
