Wake Radiology is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Service Liaison to support front-end revenue cycle operations in Raleigh, NC. This role ensures referrals, scheduling, insurance eligibility, physician orders, and prior authorizations are accurate before services are rendered.

This position is not remote and requires collaboration with patients, provider offices, and internal teams to resolve barriers to care, while maintaining documentation in the referral systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare patient access, referrals, or revenue cycle.
• Experience with insurance verification, eligibility, prior authorizations, and referral management.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct incomplete referrals to ensure readiness for scheduling.
• Verify and update insurance information and eligibility prior to services.
• Obtain and maintain prior authorizations, including payer follow-up.
• Request missing or incorrect physician orders before appointments.
• Reschedule patients due to authorization or documentation issues.
• Communicate with patients, providers, insurers, and teams to resolve barriers to care.
• Document activities in patient accounts and referral systems.
• Identify recurring issues and escalate to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
