Pre-Sales Solution Architect (Salesforce)
Location: Remote, United States
Thunder's Pre-Sales Solution Architect leads our potential customers through pre-sales discovery calls, the proposals they create, and all of the "in between work" that leads to a successful partnership. They apply their technical aptitude (and charisma!) to provide the needed plan to help our customers love Salesforce, forever.
Our ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce experience, enjoys the variety of work that comes with this function, and has a seasoned eye for risk management. This role requires expertise and industry perspective on best practices, with a deep skillset and product knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Field Service, Revenue Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.

Role + Responsibilities
- Hold responsibility of the prospective client once an opportunity is qualified by Thunder's Sales team
- Lead pre-sales discovery calls and document use cases
- Generate estimates and present proposals to clients, highlighting Thunder's differentiators
- Manage multiple customer meetings and estimates across different phases of the sales cycle (8-10 on average)
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams, negotiating proposals through to completion
- Provide technical advisory during negotiations, identifying project risks and potential mitigations
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years' implementation/delivery consulting experience within the Salesforce consulting partner ecosystem
- 2-3+ years' experience serving as an Architect or designing solutions for customers ranging from SMB to Enterprise
- Successful track record as a project owner/Solution Architect for Salesforce implementations, with significant understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem (specifically around Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, and Marketing Cloud)
- Excellent communication skills with prospective stakeholders, internal Sales team, and leadership, along with confident presentation skills
- Keen eye for risk management before and during sales negotiations, with the ability to recognize additional revenue opportunities
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to manage difficult conversations appropriately
Required Salesforce Certifications
- Salesforce Certified Administrator/Advanced Administrator
- Two or more Salesforce Consultant Certifications (e.g., Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ, Billing, Marketing Cloud, etc.)
