Job summary

Azul Systems, Inc. seeks a hands-on Sales Engineer to lead pre-sales engagements, drive the technical win, and translate JVM performance data into compelling business value for enterprise customers.

You will run pilots and proofs‑of‑concept in customer environments, install and tune the JVM, analyze GC and latency results, and present outcomes to both technical teams and executives, while mentoring the SE group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Sales Engineering / pre-sales for enterprise software.
• 3+ years hands-on Java development or testing with Java architecture.
• Proven hands-on pilots and POCs with performance measurements.
• Experience selling into large enterprises with multi-stakeholder deals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical win across pre‑sales engagements from discovery to validation.
• Lead hands-on pilots inside the customer's environment and capture empirical results.
• Prove performance through benchmarks, latency and GC analysis.
• Navigate enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders and procurement cycles.
• Present to audiences from developers to CxOs, making complex ideas clear.
• Mentor other SEs and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and CTO office.
