Job summary

Moonshot in Wisconsin is seeking a Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise across the sales cycle, from quoting to project development. You will translate customer requirements into technically sound solutions and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing.

You will develop product knowledge, leverage supplier resources, and ensure compliance with standards while growing within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience; sales experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex products to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to thorough proposals and documentation.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to grow in a high-performance sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Moonshot's sales process, quoting systems, and proposal development procedures.
• Assist the sales team in preparing accurate project quotations, including scope evaluation, pricing, and technical configuration.
• Perform detailed project take-offs and assist in developing project budgets and equipment selections.
• Conduct CD&E's on opportunities brought by the sales team.
• May be responsible for generating quotes from time to time.
• Support Moonshot Energy projects related to modular data center AI builds.
