Job summary

Moonshot is seeking a Supply Chain Director to build and lead our end-to-end supply chain, including purchasing, sourcing, planning, logistics, and warehousing for electrical equipment and modular data center infrastructure. You will report to the VP of Engineering & Production and own material flow from supplier to production line or project site.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who can scale processes, establish teams, and partner with engineering, production, and finance to protect

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA is a plus.
10+ years of progressive supply chain experience with leadership roles.
End-to-end ownership of purchasing, sourcing, planning, logistics, and warehousing.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the supply chain team across sourcing, purchasing, planning, warehousing, logistics, and supplier development.
Own procuring activities for direct/indirect materials and services; drive total-cost-of-ownership reductions.
Develop commodity and component strategies and supplier partnerships for cost and schedule.
Lead vendor quality, audits, and supplier development; ensure readiness for production and projects.
Master production planning, S&OP cycles, and capacity/load balancing with cross-functional teams.
Stand up warehousing, inventory accuracy, and reorder policies; manage safety stock.
Launch and manage vendor managed inventory programs and ERP integrations.
Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, 3PL relationships, and compliance with trade rules.
Create risk-management and continuity playbooks for supply continuity under disruption.
Own data and systems: item masters, BOMs, routings, lead times, and dashboards.
