Job summary

Truist is seeking a Pre-Processing Quality Lead in Richmond, VA to provide operational coverage for the Pre-Processing Manager. This hybrid SME will oversee pipeline performance, resolve loan-level inquiries, and support frontline teammates and leadership.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to SLAs, updating policies and systems, conducting file reviews, mentoring staff, and guiding complex loan issues. Strong mortgage knowledge and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years mortgage experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline (20+ loans).
• Proficiency with mortgage platforms (e.g., Empower) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience mentoring or training teammates.
• Advanced understanding of AUS, LQS, and underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to established pre-processing guidelines, controls, and SLAs.
• Partner with the Pre-Processing Manager to support audit responses (e.g., TAS, Governance, QC findings).
• Assist in implementing updates to policies, procedures, and systems.
• Perform file reviews and audits to ensure quality assurance and compliance.
• Support resolution of Sales disputes, escalations, and exception scenarios.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Pre-Processing staff.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex loan issues and scenarios.
