Job summary

Spring Valley in Hatfield, MA is seeking a Pre Process / Chemical Operator to join our production team. You will weigh incoming chemicals, follow formula sheets, and move materials between storage, process, and injection areas, using a forklift when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification or training, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Cross-training and comprehensive benefits are offered as part of our production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Able to don PPE including respirator.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Weigh all incoming chemicals prior to storage.
• Follow formula sheets to prepare pre-mixes in accordance to SOPs.
• Move tech materials from chemical storage area to the process room.
• Transport tote tanks between process room and injection room using forklift or pallet jack.
• Place tote at proper station in the injection room and hook up to the heating system.
• Relocate tote to the injection system for use in the process and ensure proper temperature and hook-up.
• Remove empty totes from the injection room to the pre-process room.
• Triple rinse drums with solvent or water as required prior to disposal from the chemical storage area.
• Complete paperwork necessary and record each transaction.
• Clean mixers when necessary.
• Responsible for spill control and clean up as directed and per procedures.
• Ensure sprays are working properly and maintained.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Our Hatfield, MA plant is eagerly seeking Pre Process / Chemical Operator to join our team!

Responsibilities include

• Weigh all incoming chemicals prior to storage.
• Follow formula sheets to prepare pre-mixes in accordance to SOP's.
• Remove contents of 55 gallon drums by auger or pouring and place into a pre-mix container or tote.
• Move tech materials from chemical storage area to the process room.
• Transport tote tanks from the process room tot eh injection room by means of forklift, pallet jack or other equipment.
• Place tote at proper station in the injection room and hook up to the heating system.
• Relocate tote to the injection system for use in the process and ensure proper temperature and hook-up.
• Remove empty totes from the injection room to the pre-process room.
• Triple rinse drums with a solvent or water as required prior to disposal from the chemical storage area.
• Complete all paperwork necessary and record each transaction.
• Clean mixers when necessary.
• Responsible for spill control and clean up as directed and in accordance with Company procedures.
• Ensure sprays are working properly and maintained.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid forklift certification or pass necessary training for forklift certification
• Able to properly don all necessary personal protective equipment including a respirator.
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
