Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse who uses the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains accountability for outcomes. You will evaluate care effectiveness among direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality according to Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires licensure in Missouri or compact, and a current BLS certification, with potential unit-specific certifications based on assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support certification (or within 30 days of hire)
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (listed below)
• Physical ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs and stand/walk long shifts

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinates patient care with other departments
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information
