The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license (state or compact), with certification options including BLS and specialty courses as needed by the unit. Expect standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and ongoing professional accountability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing school with appropriate degree.
• Active RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
