Job summary

Central Montessori Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio, is opening a second Pre-Primary classroom for ages 3–6 and seeks a warm, collaborative Pre-Primary Montessori Teacher to join our community.

You will create a peaceful Montessori environment, present lessons, observe and document growth, and collaborate with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Montessori credential for Early Childhood/Primary (ages 3–6) from AMS, AMI, or another recognized Montessori teacher education program
• Experience working in a Montessori 3–6 environment
• Bachelor’s degree or applicable teaching credentials
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful environment for children and families
• Candidates currently completing Montessori training considered

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining an authentic Montessori environment for children ages 3–6
• Presenting Montessori lessons and materials based on individual student readiness and interests
• Observing students and documenting their development and progress
• Supporting children in developing independence, concentration, grace and courtesy, and responsibility

Central Montessori Academy is excited to be growing! We are opening a second Pre-Primary classroom in January 2027 and are seeking a warm, collaborative, and dedicated Pre-Primary Montessori Teacher to join our community.

Our Pre-Primary program serves children ages 3–6 in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment designed to foster independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

About the Position

The Pre-Primary Teacher will help create and maintain a beautiful, peaceful, and engaging Montessori classroom while supporting each child’s academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining an authentic Montessori environment for children ages 3–6
• Presenting Montessori lessons and materials based on individual student readiness and interests
• Observing students and documenting their development and progress
• Supporting children in developing independence, concentration, grace and courtesy, and responsibility
