Job summary

Central Montessori Academy in Cincinnati seeks a warm, dependable Toddler Assistant Guide to support the Lead Guide in a peaceful, nurturing classroom for children approximately 18 months to 3 years old.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, understands patience and consistency, and is eager to help toddlers develop independence, language, and early social-emotional skills through daily routines and guided activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with toddlers preferred.
• Montessori experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a safe, calm, and welcoming Montessori classroom.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Assist children with classroom activities, meals, toileting/diapering, dressing, rest, and other daily routines.
• Encourage independence and model appropriate grace and courtesy.
• Assist with afternoon transitions and aftercare.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and the prepared environment.
• Help keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for children.
• Observe and respond appropriately to children's individual needs.
• Follow all school policies and Ohio childcare licensing requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom team and school administration.

Central Montessori Academy is seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Toddler Assistant Guide to join our Montessori community. This position works with children approximately 18 months to 3 years old and supports the Lead Guide in creating a peaceful, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with young children, understands the importance of patience and consistency, and is excited to support toddlers as they develop independence, confidence, language, and social-emotional skills.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM

This position supports the Toddler classroom during the school day and helps provide consistency for children through the afternoon and aftercare portion of the day.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a safe, calm, and welcoming Montessori classroom

• Willingness to complete all required background checks, trainings, and childcare documentation
• Ability to meet the physical demands of working with toddlers, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and actively supervising children
