Job summary

Ophthalmology LTD Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a compassionate part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre/Post-Operative care. The role focuses on direct patient interaction, education, and safe recovery in a fast-paced ophthalmic setting.

The ideal candidate holds an SD RN license, BLS, and ACLS, with strong clinical assessment and communication skills. BSN preferred; no nights; approx 2.5 days per week; teamwork-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current South Dakota RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center.

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions and discharge processes per physician orders and surgery center policies.
• Provide skilled pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Monitor patient recovery and communicate concerns to the surgical team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, technicians, and surgery center staff.
