Job summary

Orthopedic Surgery Center of Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre/Post Op care in an outpatient setting. This full-time, day shift role focuses on delegation, supervision, and nursing care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include age-appropriate patient care, participation in quality improvement, and adherence to applicable policies and ethics. Illinois RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ACLS per policy, and a BSN preferred are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN licensure in Illinois required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.
• ACLS certification per policy.
• Must be able to position and transfer an average adult patient and stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to perform IV insertions and IM injections.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for a designated group of patients.
• Delegate, supervise, and coordinate care for Pre/Post Op patients.
• Maintain age-appropriate care and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Adhere to mission, vision, and ethical standards including ANA Code of Ethics.
