Job summary

Midwest Specialty Surgery Center, a free-standing orthopedic outpatient surgery center in the southwest side of Indianapolis, is seeking a Full Time RN to care for post‑op patients and provide education before discharge.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, fast-learning professional who can multi-task and maintain patience. Hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with shifts possibly running later depending on discharge timing; there is no on-call and no weekend/holiday work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS Required
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Education for patient and family prior to discharge.
• Assess that patient is safe to discharge home.
• Caring for 3–4 post-op patients per shift.
