Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC in Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse to provide perioperative patient care in a single operating room, adhering to standards and center protocols to ensure patient safety and quality service. Must hold a BSN, an active Illinois RN license, and BLS/ALS; PALS preferred.

At least two years of orthopedic surgery experience is required, with ambulatory surgery center background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality perioperative care.
• Organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for efficient case management.
• Prepares the operating room according to patient/procedure requirements.
• Implements plan of care safely and ensures a safe environment, including positioning and asepsis.
• Maintains correct prepping and draping procedures and conducts time-out before incision.
• Ensures asepsis and proper handling of sterile items and supplies.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and assists anesthesia personnel.
• Attends required safety training and follows exposure control plans.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and performs other duties as assigned.
