Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Community Hospital of San Bernardino is seeking a Pre & Post Surgery RN to be a central figure in the patient care team, delivering compassionate care that supports patients throughout the surgical journey.

You will leverage your clinical knowledge and teamwork to create and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patients feel informed, safe, and supported from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in surgical services, critical care, or related field.
• Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
• Active RN license in California with BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Clinical assessment, admissions, transfers, and discharge planning per policy.
• Identify and respond to life-threatening situations and high-risk complications.
• Advocate for psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, and learning needs of patients and families.
• Initiate nursing diagnoses and outcomes; plan care with team.
• Collaborate and communicate as a liaison within the healthcare team.
• Monitor physiology, behavior, and symptoms to anticipate risks.
• Understand the surgical environment's impact on patient and family.
